TRIGGER POINT & ASSISTED STRETCH

BODY TENSION RELIEF

ACTIVE ASSISTED

STRETCH THERAPY

According to Harvard, “The areas critical for mobility are in your lower extremities: your calves, your hamstrings, your hip flexors in the pelvis and quadriceps in the front of the thigh." Stretching your shoulders, neck, and lower back are also beneficial.

Assisted stretch is critical for your mobility. It will extend your active years of life, while relieving knots, pain, stiffness, and stress. It improves health, blood flow and mobility to your body, helping your muscles and joints be more youthful.

Stretching teaches your muscles to remain elongated, in a natural resting state, rather than of its contracted “triggered” state.

Our technicians are trained to locate and release your specific trigger points and improve muscle mobility using our unique specific combination of stretch and trigger point therapy.

TRIGGER POINT

THERAPY

Trigger points are knots or tight bands of muscles as a common result of stress in our life and muscles that fail to relax. They can restrict movement, cause muscle weakness, may cause referred and/or radiating pain, result in decreased blood flow and cause scar tissue in the muscle. They are painful and will limit healing.

Trigger point therapy by a trained technician uses carefully placed pressure on the trigger points using a hand or massage instrument to reduce the size of the knot. The pressure lasts for a few moments before it’s released. This therapy can feel more intense for short durations and is different than typical massage therapy.

When trigger points are released, it can relieve pain, stiffness and discomfort in a significant way and for longer duration than a typical kneading type of massage. This therapy also can help with anti-aging by increasing energy levels, blood flow and health to the body as well as lowering the amount of stress damage to the body.
